Ultimate Frisbee

Hi Weka Class,

I am sure you have all enjoyed learning how to play Ultimate Frisbee. Thank you to Mr Salter for teaching us!

Below I would like you to post your thoughts and comments about Ultimate Frisbee. I would also like you to include the rules you can remember.

We will be using a lesson plan that Mr Salter has prepared for us when we play next time. Mr Salter might even be able to come and have a game with us again soon.

Mr Douglas.

  3. It has been awesome (spelt properly Amelia) with Mr Salter teaching at our class.
Ultimate Frisbee was really enjoyable and it was great learning a new sport, which he plays.
    Rules:
3 consecutive drops is a turnover to the other team.
When one team scores then you change sides of the pitch.
You can hold the frisbee for 7 seconds if any longer then it's a turn over.
You can't take the frisbee off people.
You have to be a certain distantce away to mark a player.
    There is no contact.
When you have the frisbee you can't move, but you can have one grounded foot and you can pivot with the other foot.
When the frisbee goes into no-mans-land the first person to touch the frisbee gets it.
When the frisbee flies out it is the other teams frisbee.
It would be awesome to play with Mr Salter again.

  6. Hi Weka
I really enjoyed playing ultimate frisbee with Mr Salter. There was a funny part of ultimate frisbee, when Mr Salter went to catch the frisbee jumped up in the air to catch the frisbee and came down on his knees, skidded and fell over.
These are some of the rules I remmber:
*If you drop the frisbee 3 times in a row it's a turn over.
*If you throw the frisbee out it's a turn over.
*If someone catches the frisbee in the end zone 1 point goes to the team who scored.
    *No contact with other players.

  8. Hi Weka

I havent played Ultimate frisbee but on Friday I watched so here are some of the things I saw:
.If the frisbee goes out of bounds its a tern over.
.when a team scores the teams swap sides.

I think its a great sport to adopt to the daily time table and out of schoolv hours

mr salter is going to be a great teacher and it will be intersting to see the lesson plan.

and another point is NO CONTACT.

    Good game and good bye
