Hi this is Dylan speaking. Well it would not be very nice without rain because if you did not have water (to drink) you would not suvive at all. We have heaps of rain and they have none at all. The people in Nepal would not feel good at all and some people will die. They get the water from the mountains, from the snow when it melts. If there is no more snow there will be no more water. If there is no more snow or water they will have to live somewhere else. See ya, this is Dylan signing out...
Hi Weka class, I really enjoyed watching the DVD called ‘Without rain’. It was filmed in Nepal high in the mountains. In Nepal it doesn’t rain a lot. It’s hard for the people to grow their crops and all those .sorts of things. In the mountains where the people live, the forest isn’t reproducing as well as it’s supposed to. The really cool thing, that I thought was pretty amazing, was that they didn’t use the pesticides to get rid of the bad insects. They only used butterfly nets and a really funny machine that I think I should use. It’s like two tubes connected with a plastic container, they suck it and the bad insects fall inside it. Wow!!! That’s a lot of writing for day. BYE WEKA!!!
Hi Weka It was sad to see the people in Nepal how they live. It was amazing how they went round the garden getting rid of bad insects by hand. It was a pretty smart machine what they used with the straws. It was sad to see that the river hasn't been fill for three years as they need water. We take water and machinery for granted but they don't have that and they have to do everything by hand.
Hi weka I think the without rain video was really cool! It made me realize that we are so lucky to have all our rain and somtimes we don't appretiate it as much as we should.It was really interesting waching them catch all the pests in those nets.They use nets because it would kill all the other plants if they used pestiside and that would mean all the other plants wouldn't grow as well as they should.The other things they use is this wierd thing it has two tubes on it and they are conected to a little bottle container thingy.The person that is using it blows into one of the tubes and it sucks the pest in the other tube.One of my faviourate parts is when the man was telling us about when they havn't had any rain in the past 2-3 years I thought that was really interesting. Any way thats enough for today . Bye weka
hi weka i liked the without rain video. i think we should save our water more to help the people in nepal. it was really cool how they stopped the pests with butterfly nets. i felt sad when i saw all the people without water.we should raise money to help the village.

The people of this village in Nepal....aren't as lucky as us....because we have all the necessary equipment and resources we need to survive.
For them climate change has possibly ruined their future and their chance to live and survive low in the valley's of Nepal.
Something needs to be done to help these people. We know this as a result of climate change. This DVD represents that.
We need to help our brothers and sisters to survive in this unforgiving environment.
