Today Weka class took part in an exciting game where they were working in groups to produce the front page of a newspaper.Each group had a news editor, headline writer, photographer and a chief editor.
Students had to make decisions under pressure following a 'breaking story' during the game.

I quite like sorting out the headlines and the photos.

HI Weka its Andrew I liked the deadline game but it was a bit long.The best bit was the Rhino story because we were making jokes about a nickname Thomas used to have last year. It was hard to meet the deadline because we were given a picture right at the end.

ReplyDeleteI really liked the deadline game because it was all about teamwork. My job was the news editor, which mean I got to decide which stories went in the newspaper. That was a really fun job! The part I found challenging was that we had a deadline and our team didn't get to put the finishing touches on our newspaper. (e.g. headlines)Apart from that our deadline game was a success!

ReplyDeleteI really loved the deadline game because it involves working with others. I also liked being able to work together to complete a project with a situation that you have to work hard to get it done in a time frame that others would have to do in their every day lives.It was a great opportunity to experience something that other schools may not be doing.

ReplyDeleteI like this game, because you had to sort all the things into the right places. It was a great opportunity to do this. It was hard putting the stuff in the right places. I learnt that I don't want to be a newspaper man.
